Water cut in Ahmedabad to affect over 15 areas, know when

From today evening (February 10)to tomorrow (February 11) ,the water supply is likely to be disrupted in more than 15 areas of east and west Ahmedabad due to urgent maintenance work to be carried out at the Kotarpur Water Treatment Plant .
Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has issued a notice stating that the water supply will be cut off in some areas of Ahmedabad after the urgent maintenance work needs be carried out at the Kotarpur water plant, leading to the closure of the plant for 8 hours. Due to this shutdown, more than 15 areas of the city will not be able to get a sufficient water supply, due to which citizens are facing water shortages.
The work of the plant is to continue till 4 pm today (February 10); its direct impact will be seen on the water distribution on Wednesday morning.
Since the system has been shut down after the water supply this morning, the water pressure in the lines will decrease. In view of this situation, the corporation has said that water will be supplied at a very low pressure on the morning of February 11. However, after the completion of this repair, water will be supplied to the entire city from Wednesday as usual and with sufficient pressure.
Areas including Naroda, Sardarnagar, Bapunagar, Thakkarbapanagar, Nikol, and Narol in East Ahmedabad, which are dependent on the Kotarpur plant, will be affected.
Apart from this, there will also be water problems in Odhav, Viratnagar, Saijpur and Shahibaug, Asarwa, Shahpur, Dariyapur, Jamalpur and Khadia in the central city.
Due to low pressure in areas like Motera, Chandkheda, Sabarmati, and Stadium in North Ahmedabad, residents have been instructed to store water as per their requirement and use it sparingly.
