‘Was told to kill them in a dream’: Mother strangles two children in Navsari

In a deeply disturbing incident from Devsar village near Bilimora in Navsari district, a mother brutally killed her two young children in the middle of the night after allegedly acting on a horrifying dream. The shocking crime took place at Maharaja Apartment and has left the entire locality in disbelief.

According to preliminary information, the accused reportedly had a ‘dream’ around midnight in which she claimed to have received a command telling her to “kill your children.” Waking up in panic and confusion, she allegedly strangled her two children aged 4 and 7 while they were sleeping beside her. Both children died on the spot.

The woman then attempted to attack her father-in-law, who was present in the house at the time. However, he managed to escape and rushed outside, shouting for help.

Hearing his cries, neighbours and residents of the apartment complex rushed to the flat, only to find the two children lying lifeless inside. Shocked by the gruesome sight, they immediately informed the police. Meanwhile, as a crowd gathered, the woman locked herself inside the house.

Police soon reached the spot and found the woman attempting to hang herself. Acting swiftly, officers rescued her and took her into custody. The incident occurred at around 1 am, according to the preliminary investigation.

Bilimora police shifted the children’s bodies for post-mortem and arrested the mother on charges of murder. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to determine whether the woman’s mental health condition or any other factor played a role in the crime.
