Who is PI RK Parmar seen among Kheda cops with liquor bottles in viral video?

In the latest revelation, the now-suspended Kheda PI RK Parmar turned out to be an old player in the game of ‘bad cop’.
Parmar served as a police inspector (PI) of the local crime branch in the Aravalli district. At that time, two constables were caught piloting a truck filled with alcohol and were subsequently suspended.
It was also revealed that the liquor from this truck had been hidden in Parmar’s LCB office in Modasa.
A case of disproportionate assets (assets exceeding income) was also filed against him with the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), and an investigation was initiated. Embroiled in such scandals, he was declared wanted and later suspended. Despite this, he was appointed as the PI at Vadtal police station.
Despite frequent raids by the State Monitoring Cell (SMC) on liquor godowns linked to Nadiad town police inspectors Harpal Chauhan and Parmar, their continued appointment to duties amid scandals raises serious questions.
Three police inspectors of Kheda district police were suspended after a video showing them smoking and fighting along with a liquor bottle in an unidentified location went viral. Kheda superintendent of police (SP) Rajesh Gadhiya initially ordered the transfer, and then a suspension order was passed of these inspectors after a video went viral and the news circulated in local media.
Nadiad West police station inspector Yashwant Chauhan, Nadiad Town Police station inspector Harpal Chauhan, and Vadtal police station inspector R K Parmar were found in a video shot and circulated by an anonymous person.
The 16-second video reportedly featured five people including three police inspectors having a liquor bottle on a table and a cigarette in the hand of PI RK Parmar who can be reportedly seen trying to stop others fighting while an anonymous person records the whole incident.
In a statement, SP Rajesh Gadhiya stated that for this incident the investigation was given to the Vimal Vajpayee, Deputy superintendent of police, Nadiad division to investigate the incident.
According to a statement by SP Rajesh Gadhiya, the investigation was handed over to deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Vimal Vajpayee.
Sources from Kheda suggest that the video is more than 10 days old and it is being monitored by some top officials to prevent further circulation of the video and report it.
A senior lawyer stated that in such an incident the superintendent of police has to register an FIR against these inspectors who are fighting and drinking alcohol in a prohibited state. However, the superintendent of police has just ordered a transfer and a probe.
