Video of railway cleaning staff throwing garbage on track in Gujarat sparks outrage

A video, allegedly taken from Gujarat’s Gandhigram Railway station is going viral on the internet where a person, allegedly railway staff, is throwing garbage on the railway tracks.

A twitter handler named “The Kerala Girl (Indian)”, shared a video from Gujarat’s Gandhidham Railway station where a man was seen throwing garbage on the railway tracks. In the post she wrote, “Gandhidham Railway station cleaning staff. Throwing garbage on tracks openly.” 

“What direction are we heading. I felt disheartened to see this,” she added.

This triggered the public outrage, and users started calling for appropriate action in the comments.

Western Railways responded in the comments and tagged DRM Ahmedabad, saying, “Please look into it. @drmadiwr”.

While some reports claimed that the DRM Ahmedabad had apologised for the act in the video and promised action against the man responsible, the same could not be verified.
