In a bizarre incident, a youth took a revolver in his hand to perform a stunt and reportedly killed himself while pressing the trigger.

According to reports, the deceased thought that the gun was empty, however, it was loaded.

According to reports, Digvijaysinh Rajput, a resident of Rupesh Society in Ahmedabad’s Vejalpur area, was enacting a stunt using a revolver.

Currently, Vejalpur Police is investigating along with a forensic science team after a friend of his informed the police.

The information is yet to be received as to whether he possessed the licence for the revolver or not.

The Arms Act of 1959 allows citizens of India to get non-prohibited bore (NPB) guns for: self-defence, general security, crop protection, sports shooting, returning NRI (any Indian who is returning to India and has owned a gun in his foreign residence for over two years), and foreign national status (any foreign national can bear arms for a maximum period of six months during their stay in Gujarat).
