Vadodara municipal body tables ₹125 cr projects before general elections

In the final meeting of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation’s (VMC) standing committee before the Lok Sabha elections, 76 projects slated for the next three months are set to be tabled.
19 previously scheduled projects are also set to be finalised during this meeting, scheduled to be held on Mar 13.
Along with these, 57 new projects worth ₹125 cr are to be issued in the meeting. Most of them are annual lease projects.
Granted projects of execution from MPs, MLAs, and corporators have been tabled.
Department wise, there are 7 road projects, 11 drainage and flood gutter projects, 10 projects under the West Zone executive engineer, 7 under the parks and gardens department, 2 projects of the building project branch, 5 of the streetlight department, 2 of the fire department, and 5 of the water supply department, along with 1 project each from the electrical and mechanical department, ward 16 - South Zone public relations department, UCD project, health department, town planning branch, and sewage department.
Additionally, two security department projects and six old projects from the bridge department have also been proposed.
