Updated: Mar 7th, 2024

Amidst the fervour of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024, the Vadodara Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) finds itself embroiled in a digital controversy as its official Facebook account gets hacked.

The BJP Vadodara Mahanagar authorities informed today on X, “BJP Vadodara Mahanagar’s Facebook page is hacked. Please do not follow any kind of link. As part of public attention.”

The Vadodara city crime branch has registered a case and initiated an investigation.

The incident has left the political discourse buzzing as the now-hacked Facebook account with over 23,000 followers has shared three obscene videos since this morning.

When the BJP workers noticed that the account had been hacked, they tried to recover the account but could not.

The city party president, Dr Vijay Shah, was informed about the incident, followed by a complaint being registered with the cybercrime department of the police.
