US lawyer hired by victims’ kin to take on Boeing visits Ahmedabad plane crash site
As the families of those who died in the plane crash prepare to file a lawsuit against Boeing, they have hired top US aviation attorney Mike Andrew to fight the case. On Sunday, Andrews visited the AI171 flight crash site in Ahmedabad’s Meghaninagar.
The horrific and tragic plane crash that occurred in Ahmedabad on June 12 claimed many lives. Families of the deceased from Ahmedabad, Surat, and other cities—more than 70 in total—have come together and agreed to sue the aircraft manufacturing company Boeing.
More families are expected to join the fight against the airplane manufacturing company in the coming days. To fight the case, the families have hired a well-known US-based aviation lawyer, Andrews.
Andrews first met the families in Surat on August 8, then travelled to Diu on August 9, where he met Vishwas, the only survivor of the crash. On Sunday, he was in Ahmedabad, meeting several families and visiting the site of the crash.
The flight’s black box and voice recorder data are considered highly important. The families are demanding a judicial and impartial investigation, including access to the black box and its data.
