Unit making milk with urea and detergent busted in Sabarkantha, 4 arrested, main accused absconding

Sabarkantha local crime branch (LCB) and the food and drugs department conducted a joint operation at a factory named Satya Dairy Products near Salal railway crossing in Prantij, where officials seized around ₹71.29 lakh worth of adulterated milk products and raw materials used to make fake milk, and took action against those involved.
The raid uncovered a network that was producing and selling milk adulterated with hazardous chemicals. detergents, urea fertiliser, caustic soda, palmolein and soybean oil, milk powder and other additives were mixed to create a white liquid resembling milk. These products were attractively packaged under names like ‘fresh milk’ and ‘gold milk’ and distributed to parlours and shops.
Police said the factory did not meet safety standards, and the adulterated milk posed a serious health risk to consumers. The factory was sealed, and samples have been sent to a laboratory for further testing.
Four people were arrested in connection with the case, and one juvenile employee was also detained. However, the main operator of the unit, identified as Dhamo alias Rakesh Patel of Salal village, is still absconding. Police have intensified efforts to track him down.
The arrested include:
• Jitendra Patel
• Sachin Makwana
• Karan Parmar
• Ajay Parmar
and one juvenile.
Further legal action is expected as investigations continue.
