Unclaimed bag containing ₹79 lakh worth of MD drugs found at Himmatnagar Railway Station

An unclaimed bag containing MD drugs worth around ₹79 lakh was recovered at Himmatnagar railway station. The bag is believed to have been left behind by a passenger travelling on the Veer Bhumi Express train from Indore to Ahmedabad.

According to railway police, the incident took place on Sunday morning around 9 am during a routine inspection. Officers discovered a suspicious bag near platforms 2 and 3.

Upon checking, they found clothes and a powder-like substance inside. The material was later confirmed through forensic analysis to be MD drugs, weighing approximately 792 grams.

Initial investigations indicate that the narcotics were likely brought from Madhya Pradesh. Authorities suspect that the passenger fled the scene to avoid arrest. The railway police have begun reviewing CCTV footage from the station and surrounding areas to identify the person responsible.
