Two of family killed, 7 injured as car overturns during low visibility in Kutch

Two members of a family were killed and seven others injured in a road accident in the desert area of Kutch. Heavy dust and poor visibility reportedly caused the tragic incident near Venu Bet in the small Rann.

According to reports, the family was traveling by car through the desert when strong winds suddenly caused thick dust clouds. Visibility became almost zero, and the driver lost control of the vehicle and it overturned. Local people and passersby helped the victims. While two family members died on the spot, seven injured people were shifted to a nearby hospital. The condition of a few persons is critical, according to doctors treating them. 

Police have started an investigation to understand the exact cause of the accident and to check if any safety rules were breached. Officials are also gathering statements from witnesses. Emergency teams have been kept on standby to respond quickly in case of such incidents in the future.
