Two killed in yet another hit-and-run in Vadodara

Adding to the series of fatal road accidents in Vadodara, a hit-and-run was reported near the city, which claimed the lives of two youths on a motorcycle.
Preliminary reports suggest that an unknown vehicle hit the motorcycle riders near the Waghodia intersection on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai National Highway, injuring them fatally.
The locals gathered at the scene and informed the authorities, who rushed to the spot as soon as the incident came to light. The police have sent the bodies to a nearby hospital for post-mortem.
The driver of the unknown vehicle fled the scene. However, the crowd gathered at the accident spot reportedly caused a traffic jam at the intersection.
The police have launched a probe into the matter, and the CCTV footage of the nearby areas is being investigated to spot the unknown driver who hit the motorcycle and fled afterwards.
In a similar way, three people lost their lives on April 25 near Vadodara’s Dabhoi, when a speeding Bolero SUV rammed into a bike near Gopalpura.
The victims were identified as Suresh Rathwa, Ramsingh Rathwa, and Mukesh Rathwa, all natives of Chhotaudepur.
The accident occurred when the three friends were returning home after attending a wedding ceremony. The speeding Bolero hit their bike and fled the scene after the crash.
As per reports, one of the deceased was a serving police official, while the other two had recently appeared for the Police Inspector (PI) recruitment exam.
