A tragic road accident claimed two lives near Ambav village on the Vasad-Borsad Highway in Gujarat’s Anand district after a pickup van and a truck collided, triggering a blast and a massive fire.
According to information, the pickup van had broken down in the middle of the road and repair work was underway when the incident occurred. The fire spread rapidly, leaving two people trapped inside the vehicles. They were burnt alive and died on the spot, officials said.
Following the incident, police and fire brigade teams rushed to the scene. Firefighters managed to douse the blaze after sustained efforts, but both vehicles were completely gutted by then.
