Two die in Rajkot after consuming country-made liquor

An incident reported from Rajkot’s Sama Kantha area where two persons died after allegedly consuming country-made liquor. There is also suspicion about lynching.
The victims were identified as Mansukh Dabhi and Alpesh Sabaria who lived in Bhagirath Society located in Sama Kantha area. Both of them had drank the country-made liquor on Sunday.
Later, both of them started experiencing pain and their health deteriorated suddenly. Before their family members could understand anything, both of them passed away.
Following this incident, public outrage erupted against the local authorities over the illegally sold country-made liquor.
After the incident was reported to the police, a large contingent of the local police station staff and the Rajkot Crime Branch rushed to scene and started an investigation.
The police suspected that some deadly chemical, methanol or toxic substance may have been added while making country-made liquor to increase the intoxication effects. The police have shifted the bodies to the civil hospital for postmortem, which will reveal the exact cause of the death.
