Two dead, 1 critical after truck rams bike near Ladol Mehsana

A tragic road accident on Monday in the Ladol area of Mehsana district left two young men dead and another seriously injured. The incident happened on the Shobhasana-Techawa highway when a speeding truck collided with a bike. 

According to initial reports, the three residents of Pahari Pol village in Wadali taluka were travelling to Mehsana for work and were reportedly going to show tobacco samples. On their way, a truck coming from the opposite direction hit their bike with great force.

Two of the youths were thrown off the bike and died on the spot. The third person suffered serious injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Doctors have said that his condition is critical, and he may be shifted to a bigger hospital in Mehsana if his condition does not improve. 

Following the accident, the truck driver fled from the spot. Police arrived at the scene soon after and started their investigation. A case has been registered, and efforts are on to nab the absconding driver. 

Pahari Pol village, where the victims lived, is engulfed in grief. Family members and villagers are in shock.

Further action will be taken after a detailed investigation into the accident, the police said.
