The bodies of two young women were found inside the premises of a Swaminarayan temple in Dindoli area of Gujarat’s Surat district. Police and senior officials rushed to the spot after the incident was reported.

According to preliminary information, both victims, Roshni Sharad Shirsath (18) and Josna Atul Chaudhary (20), are students of Udhna Citizen College. The two had left their homes in the morning for college but did not return by evening, prompting concern among their family members.

Relatives began searching for the students and repeatedly attempted to contact them by phone but received no response. Their bodies were later discovered under suspicious circumstances in a bathroom within the premises of the Atmiya Sanskardham Swaminarayan Temple on Saniya Kanade Road.

A team from Dindoli police station reached the scene and took custody of the bodies. They were later sent to a hospital for post-mortem examination.

Police have launched a probe to determine whether the deaths were accidental, a case of suicide, or the result of any other circumstances. Officials said the exact cause of death would be known only after the post-mortem report is received.
