Two children of a family dead, one rescued in Bhavnagar sea tragedy

Panic broke out at sea, after three children of a family were caught in strong sea currents at Sartanpur Port. Seeing them drowning, people started screaming for help. Local fishermen who were present at the scene jumped into the sea to rescue the children. They managed to pull one of the children, a girl, out of the water alive, while the other two children were carried away by the strong currents into deeper waters.
Following the incident, the Talaja Fire Rescue Team was informed and rushed to the spot. Local swimmers, residents and the Sarpanch of Sartanpar village also joined the rescue operation, helping firefighters search the waters for several hours despite rough sea conditions and strong waves. After an extensive search operation, both missing children were eventually traced and brought out of the sea by local swimmers.
The children were shifted to the Talaja Government Hospital through the 108 emergency service. However, doctors declared both of them dead after a medical examination.
