In a recent administrative reshuffle, Shri Tushar Mohanlal Dholakia, IAS of 2009 batch, was transferred from his current role as the Director of Civil Supplies and Ex-officio Additional Secretary to the Government in the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumers Affairs Department to the Chairman of the Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board (GSSSB), Gandhinagar, effective immediately.

His career spans a range of important roles in the fields of water resources, civil supplies, tribal development, and social defense.

He was appointed as director of the food and civil supply department in September 2019.

In another shuffle D P Desai, IAS of 2008 batch, Municipal Commissioner of Rajkot, has been transferred to the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) as the new Chief Executive Officer. 

This appointment comes with the additional responsibility of overseeing the Gandhinagar Urban Development Authority (GUDA) until further notice, relieving Bhavya Verma, IAS, of his additional charge.

Tushar Sumera, IAS of 2012 batch, Collector of Bharuch, has been transferred to Rajkot Municipal Corporation as the new Municipal Commissioner, replacing D P Desai, IAS.

Gaurang Makwana, IAS of 2012 batch, Managing Director of Industrial Extension Bureau (INDEXT-B), has been appointed as the new Collector of Bharuch, succeeding Tushar Sumera, IAS.
