Dissatisfied turncoat tribal leader Mahesh Vasava resigns from BJP
Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP) founder Mahesh Vasava, son of veteran tribal politician Chhotubhai Vasava, announced his resignation from the BJP on Monday.
Vasava, a former MLA from Dediapada in Narmada district, had joined the BJP under the guidance of former Bharuch district BJP president Marutisinh Atodaria. Vasava was disappointed as he believed his "work was not given due recognition within the party".
While resigning, Mahesh said that he did not receive "justice for his work in the BJP". He had joined the BJP in 2024. However, now, due to these allegations and dissatisfaction, he has parted ways with the party.
He first won the assembly election and became MLA in 2017 as a candidate of the BTP. Currently, he is a former MLA with two terms, also elected in the 2022 Gujarat assembly elections from the Dediapada constituency.
