Three workers die after falling into jeans washing tank in Danilimda factory

The deceased have been identified as Sunil Rathva, Vishal Thakor, and Prakash Parmar, all aged between 25 and 30 years.
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred during the night shift at the unit, where the trio had entered the washing tank for cleaning purposes. However, they reportedly failed to come out and remained inside the tank overnight.
Family members of the victims, who rushed to the LG Hospital in Maninagar upon receiving the distress call, alleged negligence on the part of the factory management, claiming that the workers were left unattended in the hazardous area for hours.
A police team was also deployed at the hospital to manage the situation and speak to the family members, who demanded immediate action against those responsible. Senior officials said the bodies had been sent for post-mortem and that an investigation was underway to ascertain the sequence of events and possible lapses in safety protocols.
“It is a tragic incident. The workers were aged between 25 and 30. We are looking into the details, including how and why the workers were inside the tank and if necessary safety measures were in place,” said a police officer.
The police have registered a case of accidental death, while further inquiries are being conducted.
