Three Surat youths on way to Shirdi killed after SUV overturns near Nashik

Three youths from Surat died after their car overturned near Nashik late on Tuesday night. The victims were part of a group travelling to Shirdi Sai Baba temple.
According to police sources, the Fortuner car lost control and overturned near Erandgaon Rayate village in Yeola taluka of Nashik district. The impact was so severe that three passengers were flung out of the vehicle.
Two of them died on the spot, while the third succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital.
The deceased were identified as Pranav Desai (resident of Bhatar), Palak Kapadiya (resident of Gopipura), and Sureshchandra Kabiraj Sahu (resident of Bhestan). All three were associated with Surat’s school bus contracting business.
Police said the group, led by Vikram Oswal, had left Surat in the evening for Shirdi and made a short halt at Saputara before resuming the journey. Preliminary information suggests Oswal himself was driving the SUV when it lost control.
Seven people were travelling in the car at the time of the accident. Four others sustained minor injuries and were rushed to a hospital in Nashik for treatment. Local residents nearby rushed to the spot immediately after hearing the loud crash and helped rescue the injured before police and ambulances arrived.
