Three on bikes flee with ₹15.95 lakh from trader near CTM after faking an accident

In a daring daylight theft near CTM crossroads, three unidentified men riding two motorcycles stole a bag containing ₹15.95 lakh in cash from a trader by pretending to be injured in an accident. The incident took place when the trader was on his way to Vastral to make a house payment after collecting funds from a finance firm in Vatva.
The complainant, Nikhilbhai Kesari, a resident of Ghodasar and a metal trader by profession, had recently purchased a house and needed to deliver cash for the transaction. On June 20, he drove to Madhav Enterprise Finance's Vatva office, where he collected ₹15.95 lakh in cash from one Kamleshbhai and placed it in a plastic bag. He then kept the bag on the passenger seat beside him and began driving towards Vastral.
As he reached the CTM area, a motorcyclist wearing a helmet signalled him to stop. Nikhilbhai took a U-turn from Wonder Point and halted his car near Bharvi Tower. The biker then approached and accused Nikhilbhai of hitting his leg in a supposed accident, engaging him in an argument. Meanwhile, two other men arrived on another bike and, taking advantage of the distraction, opened the car door and fled with the cash-filled bag.
By the time Nikhilbhai realised the theft and raised an alarm, the trio had sped away on their bikes. Ramol police were informed and arrived promptly at the scene. A complaint was registered against three unknown persons, and CCTV footage from the vicinity is being reviewed to trace the culprits
