A tragic incident of alleged mass suicide involving three members of the same family has shocked residents of the Lalgate area in Surat. The family had reportedly returned from a visit to Saudi Arabia just a week ago, and the incident has left the entire neighbourhood in deep shock and grief.

According to preliminary information, the incident took place on Haripura Sauya Sheri in Lalgate, where a husband, wife and their young son allegedly consumed a poisonous substance. The deceased have been identified as 36-year-old Faiz Ahmed, his 32-year-old wife Mubina Ahmed, and their son Noman.

 Initial findings suggest that Faiz Ahmed was engaged in the chemical business. The sudden loss of all three family members at once has cast a pall of sorrow over the locality, with neighbours and locals expressing disbelief and sadness after learning about the incident.

Upon receiving information, a team of police officials, including senior officers, rushed to the spot and began an investigation. The bodies have been sent for postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. At present, the reason behind the alleged suicide remains unclear, and police are continuing their inquiry to ascertain the circumstances that led to this tragic step.
