Three of a family members dies in Surat, mass suicide suspected

A shocking incident surfaced on Wednesday morning in the Vesu, Surat. In the Happy Elegance residential building, four members of the same family allegedly attempted mass suicide. The husband, wife, and one minor daughter died, while another daughter survived and is currently undergoing treatment.

According to preliminary information, the head of the family allegedly consumed a poisonous substance along with his wife and two young daughters for reasons that are yet to be officially confirmed. The matter came to light after neighbors sensed something unusual and alerted authorities. Police teams rushed to the spot immediately.

The deceased include the husband, his wife, and their daughter aged approximately 5 to 7 years. The second daughter was rescued in time and shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors are closely monitoring her condition.

Initial suspicions suggest possible financial distress, domestic issues, or other personal reasons behind the extreme step. However, officials have stated that the exact cause will only be known after a detailed probe. It is not yet confirmed whether any suicide note has been recovered.

The bodies have been sent for postmortem to the civil hospital, and statements of neighbors and relatives are being recorded.
