Three killed, including elderly man, in separate accidents in Ahmedabad

Three persons, including an elderly man, lost their lives in separate road accidents. In Krishnanagar area of Ahmedabad, an elderly pedestrian was hit by a bus, while a youth was fatally struck when he was crossing the road near Kankaria, and in Jamalpur, a middle-aged man sleeping on the footpath under the bridge died after a Bolero’s wheel ran over his leg. Traffic police have registered cases in all three incidents and further investigation is underway.
In Krishnanagar, Narendra Singh Banna (79), a resident of Jay Raghunath Society, was on his way to the garden and gurdwara on the morning of August 16. He was crossing the road near Krishnanagar BRTS bus stand, when he was hit by a speeding BRTS bus and died on the spot.
At Kankaria, on August 15, Bharatbhai Chunara (23) was crossing the road near Gate No 7 when he was struck by a speeding Bolero. He suffered severe injuries and fell unconscious. The driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle. Despite medical treatment, the youth succumbed to his injuries.
In Jamalpur, Sureshbhai Badoudiya (50) was sleeping on the footpath under Jamalpur Bridge when a Bolero ran over him on August 12. He later succumbed to his injuries.
