Two killed as car rams into ST bus in Rajula; horrific triple accident on Bhavnagar-Somnath highway

In a tragic incident, two persons were killed on the spot in a horrific triple accident on the Bhavnagar-Somnath National Highway near Charanala in Rajula taluka on Wednesday.

According to police, the accident occurred when a four-wheeler veered off the road, mounted the central divider and collided head-on with an oncoming Gujarat State Transport (ST) bus. The impact of the crash left two occupants of the car dead at the scene, while another sustained serious injuries and was shifted to Rajula Civil Hospital for treatment.

Police said the collision also triggered a secondary accident, wherein a motorcyclist was hit and sustained critical injuries. He, too, was rushed to the hospital and is undergoing treatment.

Preliminary information suggests that the deceased hailed from Vadodara. The Rajula police have launched an investigation into the incident and are working to establish the sequence of events that led to the fatal crash.
