Three killed, 7 injured in Ahmedabad-Vadodara Express Highway accident near Harniyav village

Three passengers were killed and at least seven others sustained injuries in a major road accident on the Ahmedabad–Vadodara Expressway near Harniyav village under Kanbha police station limits on Monday morning.
As per the police, the accident occurred when a Patel Travels bus and a Kia four-wheeler collided on the expressway. Both vehicles came to a halt on the road after the crash. Moments later, a Rajasthan-registered truck rammed into the stationary bus from behind, resulting in a pile-up.
The impact of the collision left three passengers dead on the spot, while seven to eight others suffered minor to moderate injuries. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment by 108 emergency services.
Police officials from Kanbha have registered a case and initiated further investigation to determine the sequence of events and the cause of the accident.
Preliminary reports suggest that poor visibility and speeding may have contributed to the mishap. The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination.
