Three persons sustained serious injuries after a car and a motorcycle were involved in a high-impact collision near the Aslali overbridge on the outskirts of Ahmedabad in the early hours of Monday.

The accident occurred at around 2.30 am near the Aslali bridge. According to preliminary information, the collision between the car and the motorcycle was so severe that the two-wheeler was extensively damaged, with parts of the vehicle scattered across the road.

Local residents who heard the impact rushed to the scene and alerted emergency services. A 108 ambulance was immediately dispatched, and the injured victims were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Officials said all three injured persons were receiving medical care and were reported to have sustained serious injuries. However, no fatalities were reported in the incident.

A senior officer from the Aslali Police Station said the crash took place between approximately 2.30 am and 3 am. Police teams reached the spot shortly after receiving information and initiated preliminary inquiries into the circumstances leading to the collision.

"The three injured persons have been admitted to hospital. Fortunately, there has been no loss of life. Further legal proceedings are being undertaken and a formal complaint is in the process of being registered," the officer said.

The exact cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained. Police are examining the sequence of events and are expected to record statements of those involved as part of the investigation.
