Three including two minors killed in Khambhalia house collapse tragedy
Amid the heavy rains in the Saurashtra region, Khambhalia in Dwarka district witnessed a tragedy as three people including Kesar Kanjariya (65), Payal (19), and Preeti (14) were killed as an archaic house on Rajda Road collapsed.
According to reports, around 6 pm on July 23, the century-old house collapsed where 11 members of a Dalwadi family were residing.
The two-storey of this house dilapidated residential building collapsed due to incessant rain. Out of the seven members present in the house, four members successfully managed to come out of the house. Among them, a girl of about seven years was admitted to the hospital with minor injuries.
Later in the evening of July 23, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) reached the spot and started the rescue.
Chief Officer Bharatkumar Vyas and other authorities also reached the site. EMRI emergency services 108, officials including Mamlatdar Vikram Varoo, PI Sarvaiya, and municipal officials, were also present at the spot.
The process of removing the debris with the help of a JCB continued for a long time.
Finally, late at night, three dead bodies of Kesar Kanjariya (65) and two other minors Preeti and Payal were found after clearing the debris.
