Temperatures in Gujarat cities including Ahmedabad to increase, IMD predicts

After the departure of winter, summer has now started showing its true character in Gujarat. According to the India Meteorological Department, the temperature is likely to increase further in the coming days, which will have a direct impact on public life. Keeping in mind the rising heat, the administration and experts have appealed to people to be careful.

The maximum temperature has been continuously increasing for the last few days. According to the IMD, the temperature will remain stable at a high level during the coming week, due to which a spontaneous curfew-like situation may be seen on the roads in the afternoon. Cities like Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot and Surat will experience more heat.

As per reports, the Meteorological Department has predicted that the heat will increase in March and the rainfall will be good. The maximum temperature is likely to be above normal. It will be hot in Kutch and Dwarka in March. North Gujarat and Central Gujarat will record temperatures above 40°C. Apart from this, the state is likely to have a good monsoon this year.

Precautions:-

• Keep drinking plenty of water, buttermilk, lemon juice or ORS to maintain the water level in the body.

• Wear light-colored and cotton clothes to protect against heat.

• Avoid going out unnecessarily in the intense heat between 11 am and 4 pm. If going out is unavoidable, keep your head covered.

The problem of dehydration can occur quickly in the elderly and children, so take special care of them.
