Temperature drops by 7°C in two nights, Ahmedabad records the coldest day in two years at 14.7°C

A clear sky prevailed in Ahmedabad on Sunday, with the minimum temperature recorded at 16°C, according to the Indian Meteorological Department. The city has been witnessing a steady increase in chill, as the cold wave continues to strengthen across Gujarat.
Earlier on Saturday, Ahmedabad had recorded an average minimum temperature of 14.7°C, which is 3.4 degrees below normal and the lowest November temperature in the last two years.
In comparison, the lowest temperature in November 2023 was 15.6°C, and in 2024 it was 15.7°C, both recorded around November 29 in those years.
The Met department has forecast that Ahmedabad’s average minimum temperature will hover around 15°C over the next three days.
Gandhinagar was cooler last night at 14.0°C, while several other cities in Gujarat also reported a dip in temperature.
In total, 12 cities across the state recorded minimum temperatures below 20°C, marking the onset of winter conditions.
