Chhotaudepur district has been rocked by serious allegations of corruption after newly appointed teachers at S F High School filed a police complaint. The teachers accused the school principal, Hiteshbhai Chauhan, along with the Chhotaudepur Municipality president, vice president, members, and other officials, of demanding bribes worth lakhs of rupees.

According to the complaint, since July 2025, bribes have allegedly been solicited under the code words flower or flower petal.

Teachers claimed that on September 15, they were called to the municipality president’s office, where their mobile phones were seized before a meeting. At the meeting, attended by the president, vice president, members, and officials, the teachers were allegedly humiliated and threatened.

They were allegedly told that their appointments were invalid, salaries would be withdrawn, and only those who paid bribes would receive benefits like leave and facilities. Those refusing to pay were allegedly threatened with false criminal cases and suspension.

In particular, Dr Hardik Dhameliya was openly warned that he would be falsely implicated in cases involving girl students and sent to jail.

The teachers stressed that they were legally appointed through the central recruitment process after passing TAT-1 and TAT-2 examinations. They argued that demanding lakhs in bribes amounted to a serious act of corruption.

They further alleged that such pressure from both the school and the municipality was unacceptable, especially when the government had already provided grants for starting English-medium schools.

The teachers have demanded, immediate police protection, and a   full investigation against the municipality president, vice president, members, and the school principal for corruption, threats, and misconduct,

The teachers stated, “We are fulfilling our duties with honesty. We will no longer remain silent against bribery and pressure. If the government and law enforcement fail to act swiftly, we are prepared to make this entire matter public.”
