A fire broke out in a taxi near the Shahibaug Circuit House area on Tuesday night, sparking panic among passersby. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.
According to officials from the Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services (AFES), the incident occurred around 9.30 pm when an Innova taxi, carrying a woman passenger from the airport, suddenly began emitting smoke from its front section as it approached the Circuit House Road.
Sensing danger, the driver immediately stopped the vehicle and helped the woman passenger exit the car along with her baggage. Within minutes, flames engulfed the vehicle, completely gutting it.
A fire brigade team responded swiftly and arrived at the scene shortly after the fire broke out. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control and prevent it from spreading further.
