SUV loses control, crashes into railing near Khodiyar Nagar

A sports utility vehicle (SUV) lost control and rammed into the BRTS railing near Khodiyar Nagar in Ahmedabad on Wednesday afternoon, and going over the central divider. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver lost control of the steering wheel, causing the car to veer off the road, break through the BRTS barrier, and halt on the central divider. The impact caused significant damage to the railing, though the vehicle’s occupants escaped unhurt.

Traffic police reached the spot soon after being alerted and managed to remove the vehicle from the divider. Traffic in the area was briefly disrupted but resumed normal flow soon after.

Authorities are yet to determine whether mechanical failure or driver error was responsible for the loss of control. An official inquiry into the cause of the accident is underway.
