The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has cracked down on Chandrasinh Bhupatsinh Mori, a Deputy Mamlatdar posted at the Surendranagar Collector’s office, after uncovering disproportionate assets worth ₹1,22,27,658 accumulated over a 12-year period.

According to officials, the assets are estimated to be 56.89% higher than his known sources of income, triggering serious allegations of misuse of official position and corruption.

Sources in the Rajkot and Surendranagar ACB units said the action follows inputs received from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Delhi. Based on the communication, a case had already been registered earlier under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

To probe the matter in detail, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted under the guidance of Director Piyush Patel. The team examined Mori’s financial records from April 1, 2013 to December 31, 2025.

Investigations revealed that the accused allegedly amassed substantial movable and immovable assets in his own name and in the names of family members by abusing his official position. The assets were found to be significantly disproportionate to his legitimate income.

Mori is currently in judicial custody in Ahmedabad as further investigation in the case continues.
