The 23-year-old tuition teacher, who was allegedly in a relationship with her 13-year-old student, underwent abortion at SMIMER Hospital in Surat.

The teacher, Mansi Nayi, allegedly abducted her 13-year-old student and eloped with him. When the child’s parents filed a police complaint, the Puna Police managed to trace and detain both the teacher and the student after four days.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Nayi was five months pregnant. The authorities sought court approval to conduct an abortion, which was granted.

In Surat, the special POCSO court judge, Rakesh Bhatt, granted permission for the abortion of the tuition teacher.

The approval followed the recommendation of medical experts. On Thursday, the abortion was performed. The authorities have instructed that the fetus be preserved for DNA testing. A DNA test will be conducted comparing samples from the fetus and the minor boy. The results are expected within the next two months.

In an apartment on Parvat Patiya in Surat, a 32-year-old shopkeeper originally from Rajasthan runs a store named Kareena Store and lives with his family. His elder son (aged 13), used to attend tuition classes conducted by Mansi Nayi (age 23), who lived nearby.

On April 25, the boy went to play outside the apartment in the afternoon but did not return home till late in the evening. After he went missing under mysterious circumstances, the parents started searching for him. CCTV footage revealed him walking away hand-in-hand with Mansi.

When the boy’s parents went to the teacher’s home, her mother informed them that Mansi had not returned home. Mansi’s phone was also switched off. This prompted the boy’s parents to file a police complaint.
