Surat teens celebrate farewell in luxury cars violate traffic rules

In the excitement of celebrating farewell ahead of board exams, teenagers in Gujarat organised a rally of luxury cars, making a road menace and violating rules.

Gujarat board students from Fountainhead School near Surat organised a massive rally with a convoy of luxury cars taking over the roads. The convoy was destined to reach school, sparking controversy.

In a viral video on social media, students of this school in Olpad were seen poking out of their cars’ sunroofs, playing loud music, and even allegedly holding toy guns while violating traffic rules. The rally led to concerns of a possible dispute.

According to the school authorities, this rally in such a style was not organised by them. Parents and students brought cars without any approval and participated in the rally. The school had only sent a bus, but no one used it. They did not allow the convoy to enter the campus.

According to police sources, no approval was given for this rally. If there were any violations related to traffic or vehicle movement during the rally, necessary actions will be taken.

A similar incident took place on Sunday, near Adipur road in Gandhidham, where a group of students performed dangerous stunts on the public road with 10 cars, taking over the entire town.

Over 10 individuals, holding what appeared to be pistols, but were actually airguns, hung out of the cars, speeding recklessly and filming their actions, which they then uploaded to social media. This video came to the attention of the police in the Kutch district, and immediate action was taken.
