Surat man kills wife, packs body in box, covers it with cement

A shocking murder case has come to light from Surat, where a man killed his wife and hid her body inside a wooden box filled with cement to destroy evidence. The accused, Vishal Salvi, later confessed to crime by sending a message from his son’s mobile phone.

The incident happened in the Godadara area. According to police, Vishal killed his wife, Shilpa, on April 20. After the murder, he hid her body in a box and sealed it with cement in his old house near Sahara Darwaza. The crime was discovered when Shilpa’s father, Pradeepbhai Costa from Chhattisgarh, tried calling her on April 21, but her phone was switched off. When he contacted Vishal, he was told that Shilpa had gone missing. Worried, the father came to Surat on April 24, and filled a police complaint.

The next day, a message was sent from Shilpa’s 13-year-old son’s phone to a relative. The message included a note written by Vishal, where he confessed to the murder. He said he was tired of daily fights and took responsibility for the crime. He also revealed where the body was hidden. Police and family members rushed to the location and found the wooden box. Inside it, Shipa’s body was discovered covered in cement.

Police have sent the body for a forensic postmortem to find the exact cause of death.
