A festival special train from Ahmedabad to Darbhanga was attacked with stones in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The stone-pelting reportedly took place when the train was halted at Bhimsen Station. Panic spread among passengers as several miscreants began pelting stones at the train.

During the attack, the engine’s glass windows were shattered, forcing the locomotive driver to shut the cabin window for safety.

According to reports, this special train operates every year during Diwali festivals, catering to thousands of migrant workers traveling to Bihar. However, this year, chaos erupted when unknown persons targeted the train with stones. The driver immediately informed the control room and halted the train for safety reasons.

Following the report, a team from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) rushed to the spot and began an investigation. Based on a written complaint from the Bhimsen Station Master, an FIR has been filed against six unidentified individuals.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the train was standing near the outer signal when a group of youths from outside started throwing stones. The RPF has now tightened security in the area and is reviewing CCTV footage to identify and apprehend those involved.
