A general meeting of the Akhil Anjana Chaudhary Samaj was held at Adarsh Vidyalaya in Patan on October 6. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the elections of the new chair bearers and the president of the community, as the three-year term of current community leaders is ending.

The issue however, divided the individuals, and the discussions led to confrontations and intense arguments among the members.

As tensions rose, members from both sides resorted to violence and stone-pelting. At least 10 individuals sustained minor injuries in the commotion. 

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Patan B Division police and ambulance team promptly arrived at the site of the meeting and the injured were transported to Patan Civil and Dharpur Medical Hospital for treatment.

The Patan police are currently investigating the matter.
