Speeding SUV near Gandhinagar’s Randesan kills four

Amid the rising cases of road accidents in Gujarat, another rash driving case in Gandhinagar claimed four lives including a woman.
As per initial reports, a speeding Tata Harrier car hit four people in front of City Pulse cinema near Randesan in Gandhinagar.
The woman was declared dead on the spot, while five others were seriously injured. They were rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment, where their condition is reported to be critical. Later, three more person succumbed to their injuries.
As per preliminary information, it was suspected that the driver who caused the accident was drunk. Following the incident, an agitated crowd surrounded the vehicle and allegedly thrashed the driver.
A police convoy reached the spot and detained the driver, who was sent for medical checkup. A probe has been launched into the matter.
