Speeding SUV kills youth in Vadodara, woman driver booked

A shocking late-night accident was reported from the western part of Vadodara, where a speeding Thar SUV allegedly driven recklessly by a woman claimed the life of a young man.

The incident took place on the stretch between Akshar Chowk and Sun Pharma Road. According to information received, the victim, identified as Abhishek More, was passing through the area late at night when the SUV, reportedly being driven at high speed by Rishika Sarnani, struck him.

Police said the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle, leading to collision. The impact was so severe that Abhishek was thrown into the air and sustained critical head and body injuries. He died on the spot.

Upon receiving information, a team from the Atladara police station rushed to the scene. The body was taken to a hospital for post-mortem. The deceased’s father, Vasudev More, has lodged a complaint against the woman driver at Atladara police station.

Police have registered a case of causing death due to negligence and are proceeding with action against the accused, including seizure of the vehicle and further investigation.
