Speeding petrol tanker kills one, rams cars, two-wheelers in in Narol

In yet another tragic case of reckless driving in Ahmedabad, a fatal hit-and-run incident occurred late Sunday night near the Narol Bombay Hotel, close to the BRTS workshop bus stop. The accident involved a speeding petrol tanker that not only struck a pedestrian but also rammed into multiple vehicles before coming to a halt.

According to police officials, the driver of the petrol tanker was carelessly driving at high speed when he struck a man who was sitting on a platform near the PWD slope, opposite Citizen Khanta. The impact caused fatal injuries, and the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead.

The driver then continued recklessly, crashing into two four-wheelers, one two-wheeler, and a BRTS bus stop pillar, causing substantial damage.

A complaint was filed at the 'K' Division traffic police station, and a case has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, along with Sections of the Motor Vehicles Act.

The complainant, Ehsankhan Raiskhan Pathan (20), a resident of Danilimda, Ahmedabad, stated that the victim, his father, Raiskhan Pathan (age 58), was sitting near the PWD slope around 10.30 pm on June 30 when the speeding tanker struck him.

The accused, Avadheshkumar Ramsumer Dubey (58), a resident of Shahwadi, Narol, was apprehended by the police. Further legal proceedings are underway.
