A fatal road accident occurred on the Bagodara-Dhandhuka Highway in Ahmedabad district on Thursday claiming the life of one person and leaving a two-year-old child seriously injured.

According to reports, a car carrying passengers from Surat to their hometown of Una lost control near Dhingda village on the highway. The driver reportedly lost control of the steering wheel, causing the speeding vehicle to overturn multiple times. Witnesses said the car flipped six to seven times and dragged for nearly 100 metres before coming to a halt, leaving the vehicle badly damaged.

Following the accident, motorists passing through the area rushed to assist the victims and alerted the emergency ambulance service. One occupant of the car died on the spot due to the severity of the crash.

A two-year-old child travelling in the vehicle sustained serious injuries and was shifted by the 108 ambulance team to the Bagodara Community Health Centre for immediate medical treatment.

Upon receiving information about the incident, local police reached both the accident site and the hospital and initiated further investigation and legal procedures.
