In a tragic accident reported at the famous Shaktipeeth in Pavagadh on Saturday, a trolley carrying construction material collapsed after the rope of the ropeway snapped, killing six people.
The deceased include two lift operators, two labourers, and two others.
Police and fire brigade teams have reached the spot.
The horrific visuals show the goods ropeway tower broken and leaning precariously, while the trolley lies completely mangled and destroyed.

Another ropeway for people was redeveloped in Pavagadh in April 2025, after the state government decided to extend the existing ropeway closer to the temple premises.
As of now, pilgrims using the ropeway still have to ascend approximately 449 steps to reach the temple after disembarking.
