Power outage reported at Swarnim Sankul-2 in Gandhinagar; 2-3 persons injured

A sudden power outage was reported on Friday at Swarnim Sankul-2 in Gandhinagar, the government complex that houses offices of several Ministers of State and senior officials.

According to preliminary information, the disruption occurred due to a technical fault, following which electricity supply to the complex was affected for some time. Officials immediately initiated efforts to restore the power supply and technical teams were pressed into service.

Sources said two to three persons sustained injuries during the incident. The injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital for treatment. However, the exact nature and extent of their injuries were not immediately known.

Authorities are yet to issue an official statement regarding the cause of the outage or the circumstances in which the injuries were sustained.
