In the case of the shooting of the Congress corporator Taslim Alam Tiramji, the metropolitan court has sent three of the accused into custody.
The accused- Burhan Ali, Mufis, and Urmat Ali, were produced by Isanpur police in the court on Feb 20.
Corporator Taslim Alam and his brother Naki Alam had bought land with a disputed history of over 27 years. After acquiring the land, the disputes between the brothers were growing.
On Feb 18, Naki Alam, along with his aides, attacked Taslim Alam.
Police had registered a case against corporator Taslim Alam, on whom the shots were fired, and his son, Tausif Tiramji.
Arguing for the corporator, advocate Gulabkhan Pathan told the court that the applicant Taslim Alam was the victim, and an attempt to attack him with a sword and knife apart from shooting was made. Advocate Pathan argued that the police had registered a false complaint against them.
Metropolitan Magistrate BP Mahida, who was hearing the case, granted conditional bail to the father-son duo.
On the other hand, the magistrate sent the three accused to jail.
Naki Alam Tiramji, who fired the gun, is currently absconding, and the police are on the lookout for him.
