Seven well-known schools in Ahmedabad received bomb threats via email early on Friday morning, causing panic among authorities and concern among parents. The threatening email targeted three branches of Saint Kabir School, DPS Bopal, St Xavier’s Loyola (Navrangpura), Kalorex Future School (Ghatlodia), and Swayam School (Vastrapur). Considering the seriousness of the threat, teams from the police, bomb squad, and crime branch were immediately pressed into action.

According to information, shortly after school hours began this morning, the administrations of the three branches of Saint Kabir School, DPS in Bopal, St Xavier’s Loyola in Navrangpura, Kalorex Future School in Ghatlodia, and Swayam School in Vastrapur received emails warning of bombs. Without delay, the school management informed the police control room. As a precautionary measure, parents were immediately notified via messages and phone calls to take their children home. After receiving sudden messages from schools, a large number of parents rushed to the campuses.

At DPS School in Bopal, parents were informed through messages to pick up their children. When parents arrived, they were asked to fill out consent forms, which led to inconvenience and confusion. Despite it being a bomb threat situation, such procedures caused panic among parents.

Following the threats, teams from the Ahmedabad Crime Branch reached the schools. With the help of the Bomb Disposal and Detection Squad (BDDS) and dog squad, thorough searches were conducted in classrooms, playgrounds, and lobby areas of the school premises.
