The tantric from Ahmedabad’s Sarkhej who died in police custody after being arrested on the charges of multiple murders, had his victims outside Ahmedabad across the state, the police have revealed.

Deceased Navalsinh Chavda is suspected of killing at least 13 people, including a young girl from Rajkot whom he murdered and dismembered. In March, he killed Nagma and buried her body parts near Wankaner. Following the revelations Ahmedabad police have now instructed Rajkot police to initiate a thorough investigation into these crimes.

Further investigations revealed that 62-year-old Kadar Ali  Mukasam from Rajkot had approached Navalsinh seeking a solution to his problems. In May of this year, the bodies of Kadar, his wife Farida, and their son Asif were found in a car abandoned in a forest near Mota Rampur village. Initially, the police had concluded that it was a case of suicide.

However, investigations have indicated that Navalsinh had poisoned them to death. The most chilling revelation is that the tantric had also murdered Kadar’s daughter, Nagma, dismembered her body, and buried the remains near Wankaner.

According to the Sarkhej police, the tantric confessed that he had developed a relationship with Nagma and brought her home. When his wife objected, he murdered her and disposed of her body.

The police suspect that other members of Navalsinh’s family may also be involved in these murders. The local police will be informed about the new findings based on the accused's confession. The Sarkhej police are planning to conduct a search operation near Wankaner to recover Nagma’s remains.

In Surendranagar, Dipesh Patadia, his wife Prafula, and their daughter Utsavi were poisoned with toxic powder and dumped in a canal. Their bodies were found in the canal, and the Surendranagar B Division police took action, initially investigating it as a case of suicide.

In 2021, Vivek Gohil from Ahmedabad was murdered in the Aslali police station area, and the details of this murder, as provided by tantric’s confession, will be shared with the Aslali police. Additionally, Navalsinh also poisoned and murdered Raj Bavaji in Anjar.
