School timings changed for Sept 16 in Gujarat for mega blood donation drive on PM Modi’s birthday

School timings across Gujarat will be adjusted on September 16, with classes running only from 8 am to 11 am. The change has been made in view of a statewide mega blood donation drive being organised on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday.

As part of Operation Sindoor and to mark the Prime Minister’s birthday, over 300 blood donation camps will be held across the state from 8 am to 4 pm. State employees, including primary school teachers, are expected to actively participate in the initiative.

To facilitate their contribution, the Office of the Director of Primary Education has instructed district education officers and schools to operate with revised timings for the day. Teachers and students will also be encouraged to take part in the mega blood donation camp.
